Your XC90 is WAY better than the new one. For the price of that new XC90, I’m taking a fully loaded BMW X5 40i with the M Sport Pkg instead. MUCH better car. Genesis GV80 Prestige (with the 6cyl motor) is a compelling option too for a few grand cheaper than the XC90 but the X5 is my cup of tea (I’m a BMW/Porsche guy tbf). I can’t imagine spending close to $90k on a XC90 when an Acura MDX Advance is $20k cheaper and the superior car. Only thing the MDX lacks is the acceleration of the XC90. I like the MDX Type-S too but I don’t appreciate low-profile tires on a family SUV as they go flat easily on bad roads and the standard MDX is proven to be really reliable from a mechanical standpoint. I can’t imagine wanting a new XC90 personally when so many other, BETTER, options exist. One thing I def appreciate however is your content!

Great cars! So far i have no issues with vcm at 293,000 miles. Leaking Valve cover gaskets have been an issue. Keep doors lubricated & use frequency for less issues. Service transmission ( dont flush just drain & fill) every 30 - 40 thousand miles

Love the smooth jazz background music. We inherited my brother in law's 2002 limited AWD and my son drives it. Just did all brakes, rotors, belts, plugs, ignition coils, (getting to the last 3 at the back is no joke). Great car!

I honestly think that this is the best looking Civic after the new ones, but the European version is so good too as well

You're such a pleasant man, enjoy your voice and review. I've got an 8th gen, love it's all round wholesomeness, precise steering and good cornering. What makes a decent difference are quality tires, and I keep mine at 34psi. To keep the engine happy use the correct oil, changed every 10k. I've replaced the starter and alternator, not complaining at 270k km (about 170k miles).

If I had the money for a car of this class I would consider the TLX if it weren’t for the lack of a touch screen. Honda has been silly with their infotainment in the last decade, such as removing the volume knob on upper trims of the Accord and Civic around 2016. I hated driving my ex’s civic with the swipe/smear to change the volume. I’m glad that Acura seems to be phasing the touch pad out. Great review as always :)

The biggest problem with this car is integra type s. That's same size inside, hatch, drives better, and faster around a track. But if you can't drive manual then a TLx type s is a good pretty upped accord

It's not true that you can have Adaptive Variable Suspension only on the model RX 500h. I bought the RX 450h+ with Adaptive Variable Suspension here in Belgium, on the top configuration: Privilege Line. The car it's very quiet inside and because of the technology: Active Noise Cancelling.

What is with all the comments about these vehicles being stolen? It makes me nervous at times to take out my 06 Tahoe LT. I've had it two years and put a lot into it to make it look brand new. But my main driver is my 93 Astro van as I'm not concerned about anyone wanting to steal it or ding it. The Tahoe sits in the garage most of the time on a trickle charger that I've hard-wired in with a plug just above the left headlight on the corner for easy plug in so it can sit a couple weeks at a time. I guess I should be looking at doing a kill switch and a Lok-Itt steering column device. Any other recommendations would be greatly appreciated besides it being kept indoors all the time.

Xc 90 is my dream car. Is it reliable?

Have the 05 v8. Great rig overall but I would say avoid the V8. There is an emissions defect on top of the engine that pops up about 150k miles and costs $2200 to fix. Also, avoid the xreas suspension. Eventually it fails and no one can work on it, other than to replace it for $4500. Cost me $1k to cut out, and another $900 to install actual shocks. I still have the rig with 167k but this 2 listed issues are big repairs. Fyi. V6 will be better for lower costs of maintenance.

I have an 03 v6 xle took me yrs to find a great used one. I worked at dealer for a few yrs driven many newer cars, not one has made me want to sell my camry and buy them. car is 21 yrs old and not even new camry is better. it is still the best 4 door sedan ever made anywhere anytime.

Is that what those things sound like normally? I drove one at work like 5years ago and loved it but I don’t remember hearing it like that

Is the BF Goodies the stock tire size. I think thats the same size I have on mine? You have that same year and color of mine, I have the black interior tho. Can you let me know what year xc60 axles you used and do you know if they'll work if I don't lift it. Great looking offroader!! I'd put a trusher muffler on it tho to get a deep throaty sound. Did you keep the catalytic converter on it? If not, how do you keep it from throwing obd check engine light?

Volvo XC90 very capable on road and off ... Great vehicle !

My friend's father last month sold me their 06 CR-V for a whopping $10 because the starter went bad. Otherwise its immaculate inside, has a bit of hazy headlamps but that can be easily cleaned, and the rear cargo-door lock is broken. But it only has 95,000 miles on the odo. Barely broken in, lol.

281k miles on my 2007 Civic and it is still going. Have there been issues, YEP! All in all though, it has been a great car!

This is literally my dream car come true. I try to live by the ADV rule (Always Drive Volvo), or KBV in swedish, and a Volvo thats Not lifted is a surprizingly good off-roader... for what it is, a station wagon. But This, come hell or high water you can get there ^^ Also, just to do a small volvo brag: Had a 740 once, and the kilometer counter stopped at something like 890000... and then i drove it for another 8 years. Never any serious mechanical or electronic problems with it, it died from rusted underbelly. But taht car had travelled the distance to the moon and back, and then some, and then went for 8 more years. That is crazy

When i was a kid, maybe between 9 and 12, we used my family's 98' Isuzu Rodeo in silver to travel and sight see across the country. I sat alone in the back but we always brought the 12V-to-120V ac converter hooked up in the back cargo 12V outlet, and i'd plug my PS1 and a 5 inch RCA TV facing back, stuffed in between the front 2 seats on the armrest. Anyway we traveled all over the US; Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, we went all over in that Rodeo. I didnt really think much about the SUV at the time, what kid does. But these things hold a special something in my heart whenever i see them, especially in the silver pre-facelift 98/99's.
